Bunch of new stuff! I've added some options for craigslist, which will appear at the top of the tab when you run a search. Other sites also give you more control - if you want it - over how searches are performed, particularly when an exact match can't be found.
I've changed the layout a bit to give you more screen space and get rid of the dual scrollbars in most situations. And finally the results for each tab now load when you click on the tab, instead of all at once, to prevent things from bogging down when you click search. (You can change back by clicking the 'More Options' link in the main tab.)
Just added the ability to bookmark searches. If you bookmark your search results, opening that bookmark will automatically set the search parameters. Hankshelper already remembers your most recent search, but using this you can save multiple different searches, if that's your thing. :)
I put this news box on the main page thinking it'd be great to have a place to communicate with the users, especially for the beta version. And... it is. But there are SO many features to work on, updating this often ends up a distant second. :) However, I just noticed - that last update was on my birthday! Maybe I was taking a break from real work with.. fun work?
Anyway, just wanted to say things are moving along. I've improved the lists of makes and models, and added a mechanism I can use to tweak the list if the automatic process doesn't get things quite right. (You'll notice the link you can use to tell me about problems.) Fixed a couple of bugs, and now I'm working on suggestions from the feedback forum!
Also, if you like the site, why not mention it to your friends, or throw a post up on your favorite car forum? If you don't like the site, you only have to tell one person about it... me! Just tell me why it sucks, and I'll fix it. Assuming I agree with you of course.. ;)
Soo yes.. go forth! Find cars! Find bugs! But not too many!
